From the 50th anniversary of Star Wars to brand new themes, 2027 is shaping up to be a big year for LEGO already – at least according to the rumour mill. LEGO DC 2027 sets

No prizes for guessing that more Batmobiles are on the cards for LEGO DC in 2027. The Batman Returns version is still fairly novel for the theme at least, while the Arkham Knight Batmobile would be a first. LEGO Hello Kitty 2027 sets

LEGO Hello Kitty is rumoured to be launching for the first time in 2027, bringing another one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time under the LEGO umbrella. No other details are known at this stage, including whether we’re looking at playsets, brick-built characters, 4+ models or all the above.

LEGO Icons 2027 sets

Two major licensed properties are rumoured to be debuting new LEGO Icons sets in January 2027, including Dune and The Lord of the Rings. The Oliphaunt would be a smaller and presumably more affordable Middle-earth set than the likes of Rivendell and Minas Tirith, while the Sandworm would be only our second-ever LEGO Dune set.

LEGO Marvel 2027 sets

Suit up, Spidey fans: 2027 is going to be your year. Or it is if current rumours are anything to go by, because deep cuts like Scarlet Spider and Demogoblin are on the way according to these set names, alongside an unlikely return to What if…? courtesy of Strange Supreme’s Sanctum Sanctorum.

LEGO NINJAGO 2027 sets

Early LEGO NINJAGO 2027 rumours include a familiar assortment of spinners, a jet, a mech and a bike, several of which are apparently able to transform into other vehicles, following a direction established by recent NINJAGO sets.

LEGO Star Wars 2027 sets

The first wave of LEGO Star Wars 2027 sets is rumoured to encompass multiple icons of the original and prequel trilogies, from the Skywalker Saga’s most iconic lightsaber duels to the first Y-wing playset in 10 years. Display-focused models include an intriguing art set and another up-scaled minifigure.

LEGO Super Mario 2027 sets

There’s no concrete word yet on specific LEGO Super Mario 2027 sets, but we do know that the theme will be introducing minifigures for the first time next year – and the LEGO Group has already shown off the main man. Everything else is totally up in the air for now.
