The LEGO Minas Tirith launch freebies have just sold on eBay, including a poster, stickers and a 113-piece siege tower for nearly as much as the set itself.
Items from the LEGO Minas Tirith launch, including the Grond gift-with-purchase, were spotted at high prices on the secondary marketplace yesterday, with some listings sold for a fraction of the £579.99 / €649.99 / $649.99 set itself. However, few have come quite as close to the now-sold listing of a poster, two stickers and two of the 113-piece siege tower from the launch event.
That particular listing is now confirmed to have sold for a staggering $599.99. Whether someone thought they would be getting 11377 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith set itself or were particularly interested in these exclusive launch items, it's a lot of money for these items.

The LEGO siege towers have no exclusive parts, but there may be value for collectors in simply having these launch event items sealed and on display. It's still undoubtedly surprising to see anything sell for nearly as much as the 8,000-piece model itself.
While these launch event items and the Grond gift-with-purchase are no longer available, 11377 The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith can still be yours for £579.99 / €649.99 / $649.99 on the official online store and in LEGO Stores now.
